Callaway Tour Notes 11/17/10

NEWS  Apples goes bananas on Sunday to win the Australian Masters  A part-time resident of Melbourne, Stuart Appleby put together four solid days at Victoria Golf Club to win the Australian Masters in is home town on Sunday by one shot. Down the stretch, Appleby relied heavily on his Odyssey White Hot 330 Mallet Putter. He drained a 30-footer for par on the 16th, then grabbed the lead when he rolled in a 25-foot putt on No. 17. He closed with a birdie on the 72nd hole to earn his 12th worldwide win. He had a new Diablo Octane Fairway Wood in the bag. He shot 71-69-69-65.   “We play around the world for big money in big tournaments with big ratings,” he said. “But to come home to Australia, it’s for real. Petrovic finished tied for 27thMcDowell takes aim at Race to Dubai title in Singapore On the PGA European Tour, Callaway Staff Professional Graeme McDowell finished tied for third at the Barclays Singapore Open. The U.S. Open Champion finished at 13-under-par. He remained in second place in the Race to Dubai, moving closer to leader Martin Kaymer in the points standings. Octane Fairway Woods a big hit on European Tour Niclas Fasth, Thongchai Jaidee and Alexander Noren all put the Diablo Octane Tour 15-degree Fairway Woods in play this week. Each player commented on how much hotter the club is off the face. Both Fasth and Noren mentioned how great the all-around performance was off the tee and fairway.  As Jeevs….about his new Irons At Singapore, Jeev Milkha Singh had Callaway’s new Razr X Tour Irons in play and says he is in love with them.  He tied for 16th.
